But where trying to sort that out
Yes it is Nice to have a dedicated site I was band for life from a site that the moderators didn’t have a Jag
We will get this site up and running as it is the only one that is for XJS cars
So just pop in and say hi just to keep it going
And you will have to put up with my bad spelling

Hi Jagman, Thanks for your reply. Im new to forums, there are a lot of unanswered posts on this forum is that normal? I think its great to have a dedicated forum just for us XJS owners enthusiasts and intend to keep posting on this forum. I wont be on everyday but lookforward to sharing my thoughts and reading those of others in the XJS community. Thanks for the info on the Idle control will look for the rh one on Monday when im attending to an oil leak at the back of the engine caused by some failing copper washers on some solid pipes? bounce

There are lots of reasons for this you have a air valve on the near side manifold
And another one on the drivers side air filter
But it can be timing out air valve not adjusted correctly
    Air leek
    Need More Info

Reciently changed the waterpump on my V12 XJS, Was quoted over 600 quid from a local specialist! They told me the rad would have to be removed and the job could take more than a whole day. I just wanted to let you guys know that although its not an easy job, it can be done by the home diyer, and without removing the radiator or the crankshaft pulley. The job took me just over five hours, not rushing and most time was soaked up putting the metal t-shaped pipe back on. I resorted to cutting it and adding a piece of rubber hose - its a crap design. Couldnt believe how much coolant the old girl takes. Very Happy
