No Targa panals but with the roof down the car looks very similar. It has a full manual roof which although watertight needs replacing as its going very white and sounds like its going to be a nightmare to get.
I will try and post some pics soon

Hi BigGee
Does it have the T bar Targa panels in which case its a Cabriolet.Other than that a conversion on an early car like yours is quite unusual. If you can figur eout how to post pics(I havent as yet) it would be great to have a look at it.

Hello All Im New
Hi All
Just joined site having bought a 1984 XJS V12 Convertible-ish. Before everyone responds that Jaguar didnt make convertible until 1985 I am aware that it is an after market conversion but everything appears water tight. The car needs some work but has a full MOT so Im going to have fun playing in it while I work on it. It is Claret in colour but that may change in time with a cream interior.
I cant say Im having a mid-life crisis as I had that years ago just continuing it. I have always wanted a Cat and this is my first so I hope I havent bought a lemon but either way it will get the money spent on it that it needs to bring it up to speed.
So just a warning to everyone I will be asking for ideas advice and help in the future
Happy days
