Maybe when we get the usual 1 poster with "how much is my car worth" we could have a standard answer of "no idea without seeing it but check the press, Autotrader etc".
If we all stuck to that we wouldnt be getting accused of being unhelpful.

We've got a good opportunity to make this a specialist XJS forum, a place where XJS owners will go first for information and to ask questions about this specific Jaguar model. It would be great to build up a nice, friendly group here.
Personally I have no problem with 1-time visitors however selfish they might appear to be. There is no way around it and by either not answering or replying in an unfriendly manner will only put off potential new members.
Looking forward to sharing my experiences here with you all.

As most of you know I was on the other side and got a LIFE Ban because I wouldn’t do as I was told (too old for that)
I will help if I can and I know that other people on here will do the same all we need to do is keep posting even if it is just to say Hi and I have cleaned the car
This forum has been left for too long without any help so let’s give it some help
So let’s start with new cooler colours and some help from the top
And a lot help from us
It is down to us to look after the site and for the moderator to support us not like on the other side where they think that they’re Gods
There needs to be some rules as other sites have where they have to answer post before asking how much there car is worth or stupid things like that
