The US may be lousy about many things, but for cars, you can't beat it.
The '90 was California (Beverly Hills) car and was garage kept, only driven once every 2 weeks, and NEVER saw bad weather. It only has 12,000 miles on it -- not bad for a 20 year old car.
The '93 was a Florida car, garage kept and only driven for a few months during the winter by a part year resident. It had 33,000 miles on it when I bought it.
I have a home in Florida and will keep the convertible garaged there and only drive it while I'm there is the winter. The coupe stays garaged in North Carolina and only gets occasional use.
With the economic crash, some amazing cars came on the market over here that would have never even been considered being sold. But, some folks were just desperate and incredible cars have been selling for a fraction of their value. For example, $125,000 Aston Martins could be bought in Fort Lauderdale, FL for $30,000.
Beautiful homes in Florida could be bought for substantially less the the cost of the materials to build them.
Anybody with a few American Pesos left in their pocket are having a bonanza!
