Fuel guage , volt meter and rev counter now converted to blue neon colour and looks fantastic but i think i will have to dim them a little more. The Bulbs were replaced with 5 white leds , the rev counter has 14 blue leds and the fuel and volt meters have two blue leds each. More pics have been added to the link.

Almost done ! .....just about another day and the leds will be finished

Hi , just to give you a update of what I have been doing with my
interior panel lighting conversion to blue LED. So far after
replacing the head unit I have replaced the lights in the gear
selector , sport switch , and now the lights in the four light
switches. When I dismantled the lighting switches I could see how
poor they were designed. The standar switch has a dull green
location bulb and a pale yellow light which lights when the switch
is selected. The main problem is that when the switch is ON the
pale yellow and the location green bulbs are on at the same time ,
very poor desing as the swich almost looks white !

I have designed a circuit to drive a bright yellow and a bright
blue leds in each switch but to make the lights clear they switch
over so onle a BLUE or YELLOW is lit at any one time is ever on.

The front fog switch changes from blue to GREEN and the rear fog
goes from BLUE to YELLOW and the interior light switched also go
from blue to yellow. This mod works very well and I will now be
working on the Computer back lighting to change this to blue.

This is a link to the work I have been doing
Just replaced computer back light bulbs with blue LEDs and am experimenting with leds for computer buttons
