I need help, I have never been a Jaguar owner before but have alwys desired one. I have been offered an XJS Cabriolet. No MOT but all welding suposedly completed, new stainless steel exhaust and new brake pipes. It does require a full respray however but I dont mind that as its like starting with a blank canvas. It has not been on the road for a couple of years but does start and go etc. What I need to know is first does £1500 sound a reasonable price. What are the Targa tops like compared to the full convertible and is there somewhere I can approach that would be able to carry out an inspection/survey of the car to see if Im being sold a complete lemon or not
