Well good news - the dealer has taken the screen out and discovered two holes in the scuttle that need welding up. Car should be ready to collect next week Razz

I picked up my new 1995 XJS 4.0 coupe last wednesday, the
car had a new screen fitted, new tyres an drefurbed wheels -
and supposedly a full check over (Car bought from an
    independant Jag specialist)

All was well until Friday morning when prompted by an old
MOT advisory I lifted the passenger floor mat to find it
totally soaked. Checked driver footwell and same thing so
headed back down to the dealer. On arriving and getting
underneath the car I found a huge rust spot under the
passenger footwell (doesn't seem to have gone through), also
found a big gap between scuttle cover and screen - more than
likely the source of the leak.

The car drives well and has an excellent history, at first
glance it looks pretty tidy with only superficial blemishes
    - any thoughts on whether it is a sound bet to have the
dealer put the issue right or should I walk away now?
